Scrip Fundraising
Scrip is a simple and effective way to raise funds for your child by purchasing the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in the scrip program including Walmart, Target, Wawa, JCPenney, Old Navy, Shell, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Giant, Sheetz and many, many others. There are over 700 participating retailers in the scrip program.
You’re probably asking yourself how these retailers help us raise money. It’s simple. Scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. Families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and the difference goes into your child’s student account to be used for any future band trips.
The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for your child without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program! Scrip can be used for just about anything including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline, hotels, home improvement, and restaurants. An average family of four could typically save on $600 per year with some planning.
There are two ways to purchase scrip. The first way is to use our paper order form. Mr. Lane has these forms and they can be found on Charms or picked up at Band Booster meetings. The form can be filled out, sent into school with your child and given to Mr. Lane. The second way is to set up an account on-line at www.shopwithscrip.com and register your family. Go to the Family Sign Up box on the left side and click “create account”. Follow the registration instructions and accept the terms and conditions. To place an order, you’ll need the LHS band enrollment code which is 1C66962135864. Administration for order processing is provided by the Band Booster board. Mr. Lane administers the student accounts through the school.
Ordering/Pick-Up Schedule
Ordering dates are the 7th and 2lst of each month.
You may pick up cards before or after the Band Booster board/assembly meetings on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Both meetings start at 6pm and I will be there at 5:45pm and also after the meeting which typically end at 7pm.
The funds you can raise through scrip are unlimited. Start saving for your child today!
