Additional Open Letter To Families

Dear LHS Band Families,

I have it confirmed, by a Saint Mary’s County Public School administrator, that we have a new band director!!!! Please join me in welcoming MR. HUNTER MARTIN to the LHS Band Program.

I am so thankful that we have a school district that brings the best and brightest new teachers to our county. I have heard many wonderful things about Mr. Martin and I look forward to getting to know him better and offering any support possible. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to speak to Mr. Martin, but I have given my contact information to the appropriate administrators to pass along to him and feel confident that I will hear from him at his earliest convenience.

As you can imagine, coming into a brand new position this late in the summer has the potential to be overwhelming, so I know Mr. Martin will appreciate our patience and understanding as we all go through this transition together.

It has also been confirmed that all band camp sessions WILL GO ON as previously scheduled. Mr. Pearson and Mr. Martin have been in communication and Mr. Pearson has provided Mr. Martin with all his plans and the necessary details for our students to put a fantastic show on the field!!

Know that your board is doing everything possible to make LHS summer band experience the best it can be! I’m here to try and answer any questions I can. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly!
